Redundancy, after many years in the Chemical Industry, set me free! I had always sewn, but had little opportunity while working to be creative.An Art Access course (a type of Art Foundation course for Adults) at Basingstoke College of Technology (BCOT) followed by a Diploma of Higher Educationin Stitched Textiles at East Berkshire College in Windsor with Jan Beaney, Jean Littlejohn and Louise Baldwin got me firmly back into textiles With other colleagues from Windsor, I became part of HapticArt – an exhibiting group of 11 and also Frayed Edges, which consists of : Gill Banks, Ticia Lever,Elizabeth Sayers and me and not only exhibits, but runs the course: Finding Your Voice
